Partner Jamie Keeton’s versatility is second to none, but she specializes in Catastrophic Injury cases and Business Litigation. Her plaintiff work has resulted in settlements or judgments in excess of $13 million dollars, and her defense victories, including jury verdicts, have saved her clients millions of dollars.
She understands that massive Fortune 500 companies and Mom and Pop shops have vastly different legal needs. So she adapts her strategy on an individual basis depending on the needs of the clients. She’s the best at negotiating strong deals for her clients and believes that many times, a case can be “won” without ever reaching trial.
For many clients suing or being sued is stressful, but Jamie became a lawyer to help people. The legal process doesn’t have to be a pain. She keeps clients informed of what’s going on and is someone they can depend on.
For Jamie, being kind is just good business. Whether that’s with her own clients, judges, opposing attorneys, or anyone involved. This broad network of solid professional relationships helps her clients immensely.
For example, a client Jamie defended had about 40 separate suits against him– all by a single plaintiff. Because of her great relationship with the plaintiff’s attorney, they were able to work together and settled all of those cases at once. What could have been a messy legal fight that dragged on for years, became a relatively quick process that all parties benefited from.
Jamie’s practice includes taking cases through all phases of litigation, from the initial filing of papers, through written discovery, depositions, court appearances, and continuing through trial.
Jamie is a graduate from Loyola Law School. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Russian from UCLA. Last year, Jamie was elected chair of the West Los Angeles-Sawtelle Neighborhood Council. She is a member of the bar in Washington, Washington D.C., Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and California.
When she’s not working, she’s trying her best to keep up with her two young kids.
